After 9 years together my sister married her sweetheart at the weekend. I had been tasked with taking some photographs of her and the bridesmaids getting ready but I ended up doing the lot!
I’ve done a few weddings before but as far as I can recall this is the first where the Groom is actually a photographer! This, coupled with the fact it was my sister added to the pressure of making sure the shots were spot on. Fortunately, both the Bride and Groom were very laid back and took it all in their stride. I hope they like the photographs – I’m quite pleased with them!!
Our family summer holiday was a trip to South Devon. Just like last year (post here), we stayed in a caravan park which offered lots of activities for the kids, as well as being close to beaches. The weather on the first day was wet, however, we didn’t let that stop us from having a picnic whilst watching steam trains pass-by. Fortunately, the weather picked up quite considerably and by the middle of the week we had been swimming in the River Teign and the English Channel!
The week was dominated by the National Trust with us visiting a number of local houses, gardens and castles. As luck would have it each place we visited had a cafe and offered cream tea – which of course we duly obliged in purchasing!!
The photos posted here are only a snapshot with the aim of giving you a taste of what we got up to and what the South Devon area has to offer. The full set are posted on my flickr site.
Today myself and the family went off on The Big Egg Hunt, organised by Lindt Chocolatier. Basically, there were hidden 101 and painted eggs around the city which we had to find. Unfortunately we didn’t find them all but I think the final count was around 60. Not bad, even if I do say so myself!
The children enjoyed it and they were frantically running a head to check the shop windows and peeping around corners in a valiant effort to spot the next egg.
Unfortunately I think I’ve made the mistake before of posting directly via Flickr – it just doesn’t work and puts all the pictures in the set into small thumbnails! I’ve posted a few below to give you a taster and hopefully you will want to see more and click on the small thumbnails below which will take you to my flickr site.
